Milling is a process similar to Turning however the difference being that the cutting tool will rotate around the workpiece removing material as opposed to remaining stationary. 

This option can offer increased flexibility when creating a specific part due to its ability to create and hold complex shapes. As a rule turning will be used where the object is round in shape.
